The Washington Association of Diabetes Educators, WADE, is a chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators serving the State of Washington and some surrounding areas. It is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization, made up of group of professional diabetes educators. WADE elects its officers annually and has no paid staff. Messages on WADE 's phone line are picked up by a volunteer 1-2 times per week. WADE accomplishes its goals by primarily working in committees. WADE volunteers have many accomplishments, especially by way of our newsletter, our annual meeting, membership and our legislative efforts.
