Position Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutritional therapy to patients of all ages within MultiCare Health System with a variety of medical conditions. This position works as a team member with the Dietetic Technicians and Nutrition Assistants within the hospital setting and/or physicians, nursing and other professionals in the inpatient and outpatient setting. This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are varied, requiring organization, interpretation of information from a variety of sources, attention to detail, and a service-oriented individual. This position requires discretion and good judgment in decision-making.

Minimum Requirements:
Two years clinical dietetics experience preferred.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
BA degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, or a related field. Registry eligible or Registered member of the American Dietetic Association. Certified Dietitian in the State of Washington. Current CPR certification.

Additional Information:
Pediatric dietitian for an outpatient endocrine and community based office. Must have experience in diabetes education, Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE) highly preferred. Candidates without CDE must be willing to obtain CDE credential within 18 months of employment.

Job Summary: The registered nurse/certified diabetes educator has responsibility for providing education and instruction for patients with diabetes, and to practice within the established standards of care, hospital and department policies, procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements: Education Background: Degree in Nursing (ADN, Diploma, BSN, or above), Certified Diabetes Educator

Work Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in area of diabetes education, Knowledge of diabetes in pregnancy desired, but not required
 

License or Certification: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington and Certification in Diabetes Education
