 Now you have the chance to join us. Swedish is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner in the Swedish Diabetes Education Center.

 The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the primary care, assessment and medical management of patients. The Nurse Practitioner in this position acts as medical resource and provides episodic work-ups as needed.  Within each role, the Nurse Practitioner collaborates, communicates and coordinates with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients and families.

 The ideal candidate will help develop and implement inpatient glycolic control protocols and programs at Swedish Medical Center, help develop and support nursing and medical staff inpatient and outpatient diabetes care education and function as part of the overall clinical care team.  The Nurse Practitioner will also work with the Certified Diabetes Educators in the Diabetes Center to plan, develop, implement and evaluate advances in diabetes care and education in order to comply with national standards.

 
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Nursing, hold ANA Certification as a Nurse Practitioner and posses an RN/ARNP license from a National League for Nursing-accredited school of nursing in the State of Washington. This position requires a current DEA number (or the ability to acquire one within 90 days of hire) and a minimum three years of experience as an ARNP or relevant work experience in diabetes care.
