Do I have to be a CDE to join WADE?
NO, we have lots of non CDE in WADE as well as CDE's. You must have an interest in diabetes education.
Do I have to be an AADE member to join WADE? If so, why?
To be an ACTIVE WADE member with full voting rights you must be an AADE because we are a chapter of AADE and we have to follow many of their rules. Only Active WADE members can vote, hold office, or chair a committee. However, if you are not an AADE member, you may enjoy many of the membership benefits such as access to our members only part of the website and invitations to professional education offerings, by becoming an Associate Member. Please see Join WADE, under the For Professionals section.
Why did WADE change their membership year?
WADE changed their membership year to coincide with AADE's membership year which will change to a rolling or roving membership year. WADE Memberships will now last 1 year from the purchase or renewal date, so you will get a full 12 months of member benefits.
I got a brochure for the annual conference, doesn't that mean I'm a mailing list or newsletter subscriber and qualify for the discount?
No, we send out brochures to anyone we think maybe interested in coming to our conference. To qualify for the discount and to be officially a mailing list or newsletter subscriber, you must have paid dues. Please see Join WADE.

No, the old password was universal to the membership. With the new website we have more security and each person needs an individual user name and password.

To Edit: After you have checked your profile (above), then click on the "edit" tab which is underneath WADEmembership. The next page will show your user name and a place for your password. The password will always be empty. You do not need to fill that in unless you wish to change your password. Then scroll down the page to see if you want to add or change anything.
If you want to change something on this page, change it, then click on "Submit" at the bottom. Then you will be back at the view screen. To change something else, "edit" again.
