2008 WADE Eleventh ANNUAL RESEARCH AWARD $2,000.00 printable copy
WADE is pleased to announce request for applications for the 2008 Research Grant Award. We are committed to advancing diabetes therapy and education by supporting quality research. WADE members who are interested in exploring questions regarding diabetes care and education outcomes are encouraged to apply for grant funds.
Applications are due by April 7, 2008.
Previous research questions supported by WADE include:

Eligibility: Active WADE/AADE members only (Join WADE)
Guidelines for written proposal: Write a two-page synopsis of the proposed research. The timeline of the proposal should not exceed one year. The significance to diabetes should be discussed. A bibliography or reference list may be attached if applicable.
Suggestions for organization of the proposal:

Introduction: discuss objectives and rationale

SignificanceSpecific Aims

Methods and Procedures: length of study, data collection

Facilities: permission of institution for data collection/collaboration
Submit a one-page budget detailing:

salary, supplies, printing, mailing, equipment, and other support
Partial or full funding may be given to the winner(s) of the WADE Annual Research Award. Please indicate if you are willing to accept partial funding. Applications are due by April 7, 2008. Data obtained from this proposal will be published in the WADE newsletter and WADE will be acknowledged in all publications. You are highly encouraged to submit posters related to this proposal to the annual AADE and WADE meeting.
