Message from the Professional Education Coordinator for Western Washington Greetings Western Washington WADE members, My name is Jennifer Beach and I am the current Professional Education coordinator for the Western WA area for the WADE Board. I wanted to give you an update as to what is coming up. Also, I would like your input on any ideas you may have for what you would like me to help provide to the membership. There has been a request for options outside of the pharmaceutical company dinner program talks that have been commonly offered in the past. While these dinner programs are likely going to continue to be offered, I would like to try a quarterly, Seattle area free-form dinner meeting to be either a journal club or small group discussion. The first of these I am hoping to offer in September, more to follow. Please let me know if you have any ideas for this new forum. I plan to move at least biannual offerings like this to the North Seattle/Everett area, as well as South Seattle/Tacoma. If you are interested in helping in a capacity of professional education, I would love any volunteers. I am hoping to offer the standard pharmaceutical-sponsored dinner talk in October, more to follow on that. You can email me if you have any suggestions/comments or would like to help out.
